This is not your average crash course.

This is an intensive 3* day in-person course, with 2 additional optional add-on days, that takes place over 6 months to ensure that you have lots of time to absolutely master this craft with no pressure, only passion.  (*Beginner course is 4 days in person with a full day of focus on machine fundamentals)

Students whose latex work is up to standard will have the opportunity to perform the service on a client, supervised by Lara (dependent on model availability, within 6 months of the course, for a small additional fee).

Schedule:

• Day 1 - In Class Theory (Skin, Needles, Etc.)
• Day 2 - In Class Theory (Color Theory, Artistry, Etc.)
• Day 3 - In Class Latex Day and Live Demonstration by Lara doing a full procedure

Optional Additional Add-On’s:

• Shadow Day (First one free!)
  • Any time within 6 months you have the optional opportunity to shadow Lara again one-on-one performing a procedure. This is dependent on client availability and willingness. First shadow is free, additional shadows cost $100 (as Lara has to schedule a longer session to be able to work slower and answer questions thorough-out).

• Procedure Day
  • Any time within 6 months, you have the opportunity to perform an areola tattoo procedure, supervised by Lara, one-on-one. 
  • This can only be scheduled after successfully completing the course (latex submissions and evaluation of knowledge of subject matter) up to Lara Jade Beauty standard. 
  • This is dependent on client availability and costs $500 (Fee includes Lara’s time, material, and space; model provided).

This course is structured in a way that will give all of the knowledge and skills you need to safely and successfully perform a 3D areola tattoo procedure. 

You get hands-on practice without the time pressure. It is perfect for those who are coming from out of town because the optional add on days are exactly that - optional and scheduled at your convenience or you don’t pay for them! 

You will have the opportunity to observe Lara perform a procedure in class, receive constructive feedback on your latex work during class, be able to shadow her after class. 

The course is followed by a lifetime of support from Lara and over 600 other certified areola artists. 

This set up will ensure that you have lots of time to practice before working on a client, observe various procedures, and absolutely master this craft before performing an areola tattoo by yourself.

• One year of tattoo machine experience (e.g. powder brows, body tattoo) is preferred.
• Bloodborne pathogen certified. 
• Student is responsible for checking and abiding by the tattooing rules and regulations in their own province/state. 

Lara provides a lifetime of continued support to her students.

Students will also be added to a private Facebook group with 650+ areola artists to ask questions and learn from others who were trained by either Lara Brown or Sherah Juarez (Ink Boutique Houston).

• Your machine, power supply, grip tape and necessary barriers (for latex work).
• Something to take notes on (notebook, laptop, iPad etc; manual will be provided)
• Camera/device to take photos or record
• Dress in neutral colors (all black, grey, jean, etc.).

• Lifetime support by Lara 
• Manual/ learning materials/ course content
• Pigments, cartridges, and other supplies necessary to perform multiple procedures (no machine included).
• Top of the line tattoo latex from Pound of Flesh in a variety of skin colors
• Meals: lunch will be provided on all in-class days as well as light snacks and refreshments throughout the day.
• Certificate** of completion from Lara Jade Academy as well as Ink Boutique Houston.
• Admittance to the an Areola Tattoo Facebook group

• Depending on model availability, the student may get the opportunity to perform an areola procedure on a client supervised by Lara ($500). When a client who is willing to be a model contacts us, we will reach out to offer and schedule the student to do the procedure. (This is exclusively offered to Lara Jade Beauty students).
• Additional shadow sessions (first one is included; $100 for each additional)

• Blood Borne Pathogen certification 

• Everyone will receive a certificate** of attendance but we do not guarantee a certificate of completion at the end of your training. You are paying for education, not a certificate. You will receive your graduation certificate once you meet the Lara Jade Academy Areola Tattooing Standards. 
• We do not guarantee that you will work on a client - this is based on availability and that is why it is not included in the course price but rather as an add-on.
• No refunds will be issued for any reason including, but not limited to, missing class or cancelling class (due to any reason including sickness), not receiving a certificate, not working on a client, etc.
