Lip blushing is a permanent makeup tattoo technique that can be done to look beautifully natural to fix imperfections or to look like lipstick with a contoured lip line depending on your desired outcome.
Lip blushing is for you if:
Pigment is custom-mixed and color matched to a shade of your choice (our our recommendation if you arent sure) and applied translucently over the lips to even out the overall tone, and re-define lost boarders.
Lip Neutralization is a type of lip blush that works to even-out lip tone as well as slightly brighten naturally darker lips. Whether the top and bottom lip differ in shade, or if the lip entirely needs to be brightened, we take the time to gradually counterbalance dual lip tones and bring the lips to the desired shade.
This procedure requires multiple sessions and lots of knowledge in colour theory to achieve perfect results.
How does it work? By counteracting skin undertones with complementary colors in order to neutralize the lip tone.
What should I expect? Typically the treatment requires 2+ sessions and the healing process may appear orange-toned and flakey for 7 days following treatment.
Due to lip blush being a form of semi-permanent tattooing, you must allow 6-8 weeks for full healing. Therefore, ensure that you book your procedure with all special events/vacations in mind.

Please consult with us if any of the following apply to you before booking:
In most cases, no. Everything is discussed via phone or email prior to booking. An in-person consultation is done during your initial appointment to determine color and other preferences.. However, if you have had previous work in the area, skin issues, scarring, or medical concerns requiring discussion, a separate consultation may be needed. Please contact us directly with any questions.
In short, lip blush involves adding color to pale lips whereas lip neutralization involves lightening melanin-rich (dark) lips. Your artist will tell you which is the best approach for you but if you prefer to discuss in advance, feel free to email a photo to email@example.com for a virtual consultation.
Our pigments are Canada Health certified safe. We use a variety of brands depending on the client needs.
Tons of experience and knowledge goes into picking the right pigment for the client. It begins with skin undertones which will determine what color we need to add to get the healed result you desire. It goes as deep as to a molecular level - understanding how the pigment will age in the skin based on what molecules it is made up of. We take selecting pigments very seriously. It’s something that requires a lot of knowledge to do correctly and we pride ourselves on good healed results. We also apply the pigment soft and translucently so it ages well. It’s important that you know that the color you see at the appointment is not the color that you will see healed because the pigment we implant is masked by the tone in the lips and together that creates the color
The healing process for Lip Blush takes approximately one week. In that time you may experience some dryness and texture until the lips naturally exfoliate themselves. Your lips will look very bright initially and soften over the week. An aftercare ointment will be provided to be applied during the healing process.
Approximately 2-3 years but it differs for everyone. Skin type and lifestyle can effect the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo - we can not guarantee or predict specific results.
Discomfort is minimal and a topical numbing cream is used to ensure a painless procedure. This may vary depending on the individuals pain tolerance.
Each procedure will vary. Typically expect an appointment to last about 2-3 hours. First, we will meticulously map, measure and shape your lips into a beautiful shape based on your facial features and the golden ratio. Next, the color will be selected. Only once the client approves of both will the procedure begin. Treatment is done using sterile and disposable tools with the highest standards in the PMU industry. Each treatment has two sessions, the initial session and the touch-up appointment 4-8 weeks later. The length of time for the touch up appointment is about an hour depending on what needs to be done.
Please send a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org to get pre-approval.
While this is a new vaccine and there is still a lot we do not yet know, there have been reports of customers experiencing anaphylaxis when getting permanent makeup (PMU) procedures. Therefore, if you have received the COVID-19 vaccine, you should wait to get any PMU for at least 15 days after. This is to prevent the chance of any reactions developing. Please notify us if you have received the vaccine or have a date booked.
If you have a question that was not answered above, or want to discuss your particular case, send us an email or a text and we will get back to you as soon as possible!
